Tina Miner

Tina graduated with her bachelor's degree from Iowa State University with a focus in Child, Adult, and Family Services and completed a master's degree in Social Work from Walden University. Tina enjoys working with adolescents through adult ages and families to navigate conflict, manage emotions, and maintain healthy interpersonal relationships. She has extensive experience working with adolescents in residential settings. Her treatment structures include a person-centered and trauma-informed approach in addition to behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectic behavioral therapy, and group therapy. She works with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, conduct disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, ADHD, grief and loss, and behavioral disorders.
Tina is currently working at Woodward Academy and Walnut Creek Psychiatry in hopes of filling the gaps of continued therapy services for adolescents transitioning back into the community from placement. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs, Iowa State Cyclones, and the Chicago Cubs.
