Samantha graduated with the Director’s Award from the University of Iowa, Graduate School of Social work in 2020. She completed her undergraduate schooling with Magna Cum Laude distinction from Iowa State University for her major in Psychology and minor in Sociology. Samantha focuses on client-centered approaches and enjoys collaborating with clients. She has over 150 hours of Play Therapy training, is trained in EMDR, specializes in grief processing, and has experience working with families who have DHS involvement. Samantha has been serving schools in several school districts with therapeutic services within the past three years and enjoys working with clients of all ages, with a focus on adolescence. Samantha has also provided pre-surgical psychosocial assessments for bariatric surgery in collaboration with UnityPoint. In her spare time, she enjoys crocheting, reading web comics, playing Dungeons and Dragons, crafting, doing nail art, and spending time with family.
