Josh Vander Zwaag received his Master’s Degree in Social Work from Walden University in 2021. Prior to social work, Josh was employed as a police officer for 12 years. Josh has a deep sense of compassion for all people and strives to make a positive impact and a difference in the lives of his clients so they can achieve their maximum potential and reach their personal goals. Josh believes in a strength based and solution focused approach while utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Josh has experience with Teens (16+), College Students, Adults, Couples, and Families, First Responders, Veterans, ADHD, Anger Management, Anxiety/Stress, Behavioral Issues, Coping Skills, Crisis Situations, Domestic Abuse, Depression, and Trauma/PTSD.

- Josh is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR.
- He is also a Certified First Responder Counselor and has been trained in individual and group crisis intervention through the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation, Inc.
